It's been two years since we initially launched Dragon Fantasy: Book II on PSN. While we're super proud our accomplishment bringing the series to consoles, after taking a break and looking back, we saw a pile of things we'd like to do better.
So we did!
Today we're happy to announce the impending release of Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice (previously known as Book II) for iOS and the all-new AppleTV!
So what's all this new stuff you ask?
First, we went back and added new dialog to the story. We ensured that even if you never played Dragon Fantasy: Volumes of Westeria (previously known as Book I) that you'll know who everyone is and what everyone's doing. The games are very different games, with different mechanics, and they appeal to very different people. We wanted to ensure that people that avoided the first game due to their natural hatred of random battles wouldn't be lost.
Then, we decided to take that fancy new Beastiary that we added in the Volumes of Westeria update (released on 3DS and Wii U by our awesome friends at Choice Provisions and throw that in as well. We also added in new items, an updated Focus mechanic, fixed a ton of bugs, and then there's that new boss we added...
