It is absolutely baffling to me to think that it was 10 years ago that Muteki was born. In that time we've worked on over 50 projects ranging from work-for-hire game development, to random mobile apps, to console games of our own. We've done games for iOS and Android. We've done games for Vita, PS3, and PS4. We've done games for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Looking back we've even done games for Nintendo DS and Windows Phone 7 (and even 6!). We've done contract work for indies, giant game corporations, fashion magazines, sports leagues, and even food products. It truly amazes me just how much time has gone by and the wide variety of projects we've had the pleasure of working on. But really, nothing gives me greater joy than announcing and releasing our own games.
The past few years have been overwhelmingly dominated by two games. Dragon Fantasy: Volumes of Westeria, and Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice (previously titled Book I and Book II). We released them, re-released them, updated them, ported them, and are finally at a place where after the last few impending releases (European PSN, 3DS/WiiU, and maybe one more little secret) releases of Black Tome of Ice we can call them done and look forward to what's next.
I'm not giving anything away right now, but the hope is to make at least two new game announcements later this year. There are still a lot of stories to tell, jokes to make, crazy designs to try out, and so much more. And without our fans out there, without the people who have loved our games, emailed us, tweeted at us, or messaged us on Facebook, none of this would be happening. So to all of you reading this:
Thank you.
Thank you for the last 10 years. Thank you for all of the ups and downs, and for the chances to chase dreams even if it sometimes meant facing nightmares along the way.
It's only going to get better from here.
